This mural project demanded the Toronto Muralists team pack up our gear and head north. We made our way to the 400 highway and never turned back. As we traveled farther north the urban landscape slowly dissipates, sooner or later we were in the anti-city – country. One sizable city on your way north is the mining town of Sudbury. This was our stop. Here we did a mural inside of a creative studio, more like a radically creative studio!
This studio is The Bureau group’s command central. They’re a communications firm specializing in social marketing, branding, print and web design. They challenged us to put a creative mural on their wall.

Our design was of something old and something new. The old was a classic figure in history sculpted by the artist Donatello. His famous “David” sculpture. This mural juxtaposed some simple design elements and an innovative typographic implementation. Unbelievably the head was done all in spray paint. I know I can’t believe it either; we very pleased with the outcome.
Whether up north or nestled in the our lovely city of Toronto – when a mural painting needs to be painted, we’re there to answer the call of duty.
